As the Infrastructure Administrator, you will monitor and maintain reliability and performance of the network and underlying infrastructure for both data center and corporate locations. You will work with VMware vSphere, Fortinet Fortigate, Cisco Meraki, and SAN architecture. You will also work with other teams to address network and resource requests and issues. Additionally, you will:

  • Monitor and maintain network connectivity and stability
  • Perform analysis of network availability, utilization, throughput, and latency and report any abnormalities to team lead for review and action analysis
  • Evaluate network ACLs are configured to abide by best practices and corporate security policy
  • Review and respond to alarms and alerts reported by firewalls and infrastructure systems
  • Evaluate and perform network and infrastructure system upgrades
  • Review and maintain datacenter capacity requirements
  • Evaluate and assist in disaster recovery planning and testing
  • Review and identify processes and tasks that can be scripted and/or automated to improve consistency and speed of delivery
  • Work with vendors on any system-wide issues and implement best practices throughout the infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer and internal tickets in a timely manner
  • Perform root cause analysis and document on associated incident for customer communication
  • Provide resource recommendations and support to server team
  • Provide network recommendations and support on all internal and client projects
  • Review, create, and maintain documentation of network topology and system configuration
  • Provide after hours support for evenings and weekend issues on a rotating schedule

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

  • At least 2 years of VMware experience
  • At least 3 years of networking experience
  • At least 3 years of Microsoft Windows Server experience  
  • Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field or comparable experience
  • Strong knowledge of networking and best practices
  • Proficient knowledge of VMware vSphere environments
  • Comfort with scripting languages
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to balance project work and tickets and complete in a timely manner
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical resources
