As the Application Support Developer, you will deliver and support best practice solutions to customers and partners. You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and services. You will also communicate efficiently and effectively on technical subjects to all audiences, regardless of their technical background. Additionally, you will:

  • Develop targeted solutions using the Maximo configuration and customization tools to enhance the customer's use of Maximo as a value-added service
  • Provide advanced technical support services, take ownership and responsibility for requests and prioritize them in accordance with procedures  and SLAs.
  • Work with internal colleagues and external clients to provide top notch customer service and solutions.
  • Develop requirements into best-practice technical requirements for yourself and others
  • Implement SDLC best-practices for all assigned solutions
  • Contribute to solution review and change control processes as part of a team of developers and analysts
  • Participate in after-hours, on-call support for emergency requests on a rotational basis

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

  • Experience writing Python/Jython code, ability to develop automation scripts, build integrations with other tools using REST and SOAP Web Services, Flat Files, XML, SQL Interface tables.
  • Experience writing and debugging java: Decompile and debug IBM Java classes and architecture.
  • Strong SQL experience: Write, Optimize and refine queries as needed. Working knowledge of indexes.
  • Associate's degree in computer science, information systems, or information technology
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks in a highly effective manner
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and systematic approach to task performance
  • Ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers, and external partners
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
