As the Infrastructure Core Engineer, you will perform mid-level administration and support across all platforms in multiple data center locations and credit union branches. You will work closely with existing Infrastructure team members and with the Support Services, Applications, Operations, Development, InfoSec, and Data Services teams in support of all project life cycles in a highly available, scaled environment. You will also assist in Tier 3, 24x7 technology support for escalated infrastructure engineering issues. Additionally, you will:

  • Execute strategic projects to design, deploy, manage, and maintain infrastructure systems across the technology verticals of Network, Storage, Compute, Virtualization, Telephony, Cloud Infrastructure, and Automation and Orchestration
  • Assist with system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning to ensure the highest level of system and infrastructure availability  
  • Work to expand knowledge of Infrastructure related security strategies and concepts and apply that to knowledge to ensure systems meet or exceed standards
  • Collaborate with vendors and other relevant IT personnel as required in support of enterprise applications and hardware
  • Assist in the evaluation of emerging technology solutions 
  • Assist other team members and vendors involved in the overall support of enterprise applications
  • Regularly contribute to team technical discussions and influence decisions related to area of expertise
  • Assist Infrastructure team with scheduled patching and maintenance tasks 
  • Ensure that all relevant documentation adheres to Infrastructure and Organizational standards and is consistently updated   
  • Maintain a strong working familiarity of organizational Infrastructure across all key Infrastructure verticals
  • Work with other credit union departments to ensure the workflows and processes are providing the best service to members

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

  • 2 to 6 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field   
  • Certifications in CCNA/DA, VCA, MCSE, or others of comparable level  
  • Expert level proficiency in at least one core infrastructure vertical: Storage, Compute, Network, Virtualization, Automation or Orchestration, Phone, Infrastructure Applications, and Cloud Infrastructure  
  • Experience with Cisco ACI, Nexus/Catalyst, AVI, A10, F5, and Packet Capture   
  • Experience with Windows Server, SCCM, Exchange, MS SQL, Active Directory, IIS, and ADFS  
  • Experience with Office 365 including deployment, migration, and management (Exchange Online/Hybrid Exchange, Azure, AD, OneDrive, Skype/Teams, SharePoint, Azure AD, Intune) 
  • VMware vSphere management, monitoring and optimization, and automation and orchestration experience
  • VMware AirWatch, Workspace ONE, VMware Horizon (VDI), AppVolumes, and UEM experience
  • Micro-segmentation experience (ACI/NSX)
  • Experience with Cisco UCS infrastructure  
  • Experience managing enterprise phone systems (I3/Interactive Intelligence)   
  • Experience with information security technologies including log management, mobile device management (MDM), and multi factor authentication (DUO)
  • Experience managing and implementing identity providers and federated identity services. (Microsoft ADFS. VMWare Identity Manager, SAML 2.0)  
  • Basic Linux management experience
  • Experience architecting, deploying, and supporting technologies leveraging cloud-based platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS 
  • Experience with scripting, automation, and orchestration technologies to create efficiencies (PowerShell, Python, Puppet/Chef, Ansible, Vagrant, Salt)  
  • Experience performing enterprise level patch and vulnerability management 
  • Familiarity with change management and ITSM
