As the Project Manager/Scrum Master, you will plan, direct, and coordinate activities of departmental technology projects to ensure that goals and objectives of projects are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters. You will share responsibility for planning, directing, and coordinating activities pertaining to technology projects for a given business unit and ensure that project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives. You will also organize and facilitate planning and coordination including release/Potentially Shippable Increments planning, iteration planning, daily stand-ups, iteration review/demos, and retrospectives. Additionally, you will:

  • Hold team accountable to tenants of the Agile SDLC and their internal working agreements including use of appropriate tools, standards, and best practices
  • Assist the team in tracking and communicating team progress and metrics
  • Facilitate and enable an environment of collaboration and creativity
  • Support and empower the team to make appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition
  • Empower the team to self-organize around achieving their commitments
  • Identify and remove any impediments/distractions that interfere with the team’s ability to deliver against their commitments
  • Challenge and enable the team to continuously improve through intentional and data driven inspect and adapt cycles (retrospectives)
  • Serve as client interface for roll-out coordination, prioritization, and task management
  • Serve as supplier interface for projects under direct control
  • Be responsible for information systems project execution including testing, documentation, and support transition
  • Track performance criteria for project success criteria
  • Assemble project team, assign individual responsibilities, identify appropriate resources needed, and develop schedules
  • Establish and update project plans and budgets with actual and forecasts and, with assistance, manage deviations from plan and project parameters
  • Conduct project meetings, project tracking, and analysis
  • Ensure all project objectives are clearly documented, approved, and delivered to meet customer needs
  • Manage the integration of vendor tasks and track and review vendor deliverables
  • Communicate timely project status to all stakeholders 
  • Manage project risk, develop mitigation plans, and escalate decisions and unresolved issues

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

  • 2 to 3 years of Scrum Master experience
  • 5 to 10 years of Project Management experience delivering large and/or complex projects
  • Bachelor's degree in business, math, computer science, engineering, or related discipline with an information technology focus
  • Expertise in applying the systems development and project management life-cycle processes involved with implementing IT solutions
  • Proven track record of delivering objectives on time and within budget
  • Proven problem solving and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability in team motivation and delegation
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate information to customers and to all levels within the organization
  • Ability to travel independently up to 25% depending on project assignment
  • Previous successful delivery of Supply Chain technology projects
  • Experience with the process of getting a project defined through PLC process and approval gates
  • Highly developed oral and written communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others
  • High level of analytical ability
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously
