As the Validation Analyst, you will provide business/system support of software systems and/or laboratory instrumentation. You will work with the staff of various departments and the client to initiate and complete Performance Qualification (PQ) validation activities. You will also facilitate the validation process and the implementation of system upgrades, including guiding, testing, supporting the introduction, and ongoing support of software systems. Additionally, you will:

  • Participate as a member of the project team where needed and help provide direction on future enhancements to the system

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

  • 2 years of experience with systems or programming tools in use within the CRO/pharmaceutical industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, biology, life sciences, or related area OR equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Fundamental training, knowledge, and experience with systems and software validation processes
  • Client-focused approach and strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to teach others
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Competency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm toward work and the ability to work well with others
  • Good organization and time management skills with the ability to adapt and adjust to changing priorities and to manage multiple assignments with challenging/conflicting deadlines
  • Good understanding of clinical trial operational processes and terminology
  • Good understanding of software development life cycle
  • Proven ability to learn new computer software with a minimum of instruction
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze software defects and explain how errors are produced
  • Ability to attain, maintain, and apply a working knowledge of GCPs, applicable SOPs/WPDs, and process maps
  • Ability to review and critique SDLC documentation including requirements, functional design, system design, and test plans
  • Ability to assess the cause of test failures
