Are You Up to the Challenge?
Put your customer service skill set to work by providing Tier I and II help desk and technical support and updating the ticketing system. As the
IT Support Intern
, you will participate in an extensive training program that will teach you everything you need to know about in-house IT operations. You will conduct research to generate creative ways of solving technical issues quickly and efficiently. You will also assist systems administrators in the day-to-day support of user devices and computer networks, monitor and perform software updates, monitor and perform backups, set up new computer systems, maintain existing computer systems, and work directly with senior IT professionals.
What You’ll Need to be Successful:
Currently enrolled in an accredited university
Superb customer service skills and a sincere desire to help others while exercising patience
Excellent PC troubleshooting skills and knowledge of Windows 7 and 8 as well as Microsoft Office 2007 and 2010
Great organizational skills and very strong attention to detail
Understanding of networking technologies (i.e. Ethernet, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, DHCP, and more)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A passion for technology
Great Additional Skills:
Exposure to Windows Server 2008 or 2010
Understanding of firewalls, routers, and switches
Spanish language skills
CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications
